Our Team

Cindy St Romain | Founder, Principal Designer

Cindy St Romain founded her studio after years of living throughout Europe, where daily life was shaped by art, architecture, and homes filled with beautiful, well-loved objects. Having spent time in Greece, Italy, and Germany, she developed a deep appreciation for the relaxed elegance of European interiors and the way history naturally lives within them.

Over the past twenty five years, Cindy has built St Romain Interiors around the idea that great design comes from mixing eras and embracing individuality. Her work often combines antiques from France and Italy with contemporary pieces, natural materials, and exceptional textiles. She believes the most memorable interiors are grounded by beautiful, authentic pieces that age gracefully and continue to reveal character over time.

Today Cindy leads the studio as founder and creative director, guiding the larger vision of the firm while continuing to source distinctive pieces for both the design studio and the showroom. She views design as a collaboration between client and designer, one that encourages creativity, exploration, and the confidence to try something unexpected.

Heather Booth | Senior Designer

Heather Booth creates interiors that feel warm, natural, and deeply connected to the people who live in them. She is drawn to raw materials, primitive wood furniture, and early European antiques that bring texture, character, and history into a space. Her goal is always to create homes that feel elevated but never precious.

Inspired by nature, travel, and the weathered surfaces found in historic European settings, Heather focuses on spaces that feel inviting and personal. She enjoys balancing modern elements with vintage pieces so that even a newly built home carries a sense of depth and authenticity.

Heather approaches each project with curiosity and intuition, taking time to understand how clients live and what makes them feel most at home. The result is interiors that feel relaxed, intentional, and comfortably lived in.

Paula Trent | Senior Designer

Paula Trent brings a strong European perspective to her work, shaped by her upbringing in England and her travels throughout the continent. Her designs draw inspiration from French and English traditions, where craftsmanship, proportion, and thoughtful detail play a central role.

She is particularly drawn to seventeenth and eighteenth century French antiques, admiring their elegance, fine materials, and enduring design. These pieces often anchor her interiors, paired with timeless furnishings, soft neutral palettes, and fabrics that add richness and comfort.

Paula’s approach to design is structured and attentive, ensuring that each project unfolds smoothly while maintaining close communication with clients. Her interiors feel refined and welcoming, with a focus on quality, balance, and lasting beauty.

The Studio

The studio remains rooted in the principles that have guided it from the beginning: authenticity, curiosity, and a deep respect for craftsmanship and history.

With multiple designers now contributing their perspectives, the work continues to evolve while maintaining a shared appreciation for beautiful materials, meaningful objects, and interiors that feel personal to those who live in them.

Each project reflects a collaborative exchange of ideas between designer and client, resulting in spaces that are distinctive and enduring. At its core, the studio’s work celebrates the belief that homes should tell stories through the pieces they hold, the lives lived within them, and the beauty that continues to unfold over time.
